Monthly Public Programs

Rainwater Observatory offers a free monthly public program every second Friday of the month. This program begins at 7:00pm with an informative astronomy related presentation in our lecture room. The presentation is followed by an exciting telescope observing event on the hill utilizing Rainwater's powerful telescopes and outdoor exhibits.

In the event of cloudy weather we utilize our Spitz star projector for live indoor planetarium presentations dealing with the beauty and wonders of the night sky. This evening program is geared for a general audience and usually last a couple of hours.
