“REFLECTIONS OF THE UNIVERSE” has been one of our most popular programs and seen by thousands of people over the years. There are two variations of this live presentation that are nearly identical in scientific, artistic and visual content. The first is primarily academic and focuses on modern space science and art of the heavens and is geared more for public schools, universities and museums etc.

The second “REFLECTIONS OF THE UNIVERSE: Experience the God of Creation” is more spiritual in nature and not only focuses on modern space science and the art of the heavens but also deals with the mystery of the universe and contains beautiful and humbling passages from the Psalms, Job and Isaiah as well as quotations from various scientists and theologians. It is geared more for churches and other faith based organizations. Both have been very well received and generally last about 45 minutes.

 

 

“Reflections of the Universe” details:

Over the past twenty-five years artist and lecturer Edwin Faughn has developed a presentation called "REFLECTIONS OF THE UNIVERSE" that focuses on the magnificent visual beauty and unimaginable vastness of the heavens. This inspiring, educational and entertaining Power Point presentation is illustrated with numerous paintings by Faughn that have been featured in and on the covers of leading space science magazines, books, exhibitions and planetarium productions such as SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN magazine and the world premiere of TITANIC: THE EXHIBITION. It also contains some of the latest discoveries in the field of space science. Edwin is now the managing director of Rainwater Observatory in French Camp, Mississippi and was the former Sharpe Planetarium art director of the Pink Palace Family of Museums in Memphis, Tennessee.

The program will lead us in a discovery of the history and influence of this giant planet and how it has affected the Earth. We will also discover the hundreds of Jupiter like planets have been discovered orbiting other stars in our galaxy.
