We purchased the 6" D&G in 1996 to add a large refractor to our collection. Used primarily for planetary viewing, the 6" D&G provides spectacular views of Saturn's rings. The 4 meter dome build by Andy Doty and Dale Jones of French Camp, provides plenty of room for observing with and moving around the scope. Finnished in 2000 the dome was a much needed addition, providing a final home for the 6" D&G. Prior to completion of the dome, the 6" D&G lived a cramped life in our clamshell building.
